Attached to his body was a briefcase containing top secret papers indicating that the Allies were planning to invade Greece. But it was a ruse, a deceit and the German High Command fell for it, ‘rod, line and sinker.’ So the Germans fortified Greece and took their eyes off Sicily. My discontent grew and when the wife of a couple that I was boarding with invited me to church with her I decided to go. I knew then what the problem was.
